RIMOWA has a unique opportunity to for a Continuous Improvement Specialist
The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing day-to-day operations, identifying improvement opportunities, scoping & implementation of the improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be agile, hard working & will have both process optimization & project implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify areas for process improvement & implement changes to optimize day-to-day operations.
Design & implement new processes to streamline operations and allow for easy repeatability.
Work with the continuous improvement manager to prioritize improvement projects based on operations needs.
Lead teams of employees to conduct problem solving and build recommended action plans.
Identify opportunities for process improvement through careful data collection and analysis.
Will collect data through time study & perform analysis using various reporting formats such as charts, graphs.
Prepares appropriate communication content to update management & RIMOWA employees.
Train small employee teams on the principles, tools, and techniques of Continuous Improvement
Monitor post implementation results and report on need for further follow-up or interventions.
Participate and lead CI initiatives.
Other Responsibilities:
Promote Continuous Improvement philosophies throughout the RIMOWA North America organization.
Advocate for positive change.
Provide CI training for employees.
Follow CI process to accomplish sustainability.
Key Qualification/Requirements:
Experience & Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Techniques including but not limited to (5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing Philosophies, Manufacturing Wastes, Visual Manufacturing, PDCA Cycle).
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
College diploma in manufacturing excellence.
MS Office (Outlook, excel, word, power point).
Project management experience.
